um so everyone needs to read The Dark Tower series by Stephen King
it doesn’t always get feminism right (which, let’s be honest, few books do)
but the main female protagonist is a disabled woman of color who doesn’t take shit from anybody and saves the asses of her male companions numerous times. And that’s pretty damn awesome.
Today, while I was running my research experiments, a participant came in with a pet carrier.
Inside the carrier were two three-week old kittens.
He said “Yeah, I have to take them to campus with me because I need to bottle feed them every few hours”
AND I GOT TO HOLD THEM THEY WERE SO TINY BARELY FIVE INCHES LONG AND THEY SNUGGLED AND MEWED AND OH MY GOD IT WAS THE BEST RESEARCH...
